The PoE World 802.3at compatible Active PoE to 24v passive Gigabit Splitter - GAT-24v25w. provides a low cost solution for delivering Passive 24V PoE or 24 VDC on a 2.1mm Plug.
This device works with any 802.3at switch, it takes the 44 to 56 volts from the PoE switch, and converts that voltage to 24 volts and injects that onto mode B passive with gigabit data speeds. Many MikroTik devices need this function. Can also work with an 802.3af switch if the output is used below 13 watts. This PoE solution appears like a standard Class 4, 25 watt device to the switch. The PoE switch can send either polarity, and only 2 pairs are required for power, 4 pairs for gigabit data, 2 pairs for 10/100. The out put is fully isolated from the input voltage. Grounding is of no concern. In addition to Passive 24V PoE output operation, a DC connector can also supply 24VDC via the 2.1mm DC Socket which disables power to the RJ45 output. Note - inserting a plug into this connector disables power to the RJ45 output
