Cambium Networks PMP 450 platform increases performance with the addition of the PMP 450b High-Gain Subscriber Module.
How does the PMP 450b High-Gain Subscriber Module differ from the 450 or 450i SM?
The 450b has the same packet processing capability as the 450i, which means (for typical traffic patterns) it can process the entire AP capacity. In a 20 MHz channel at 256 QAM (8x) modulation, it is capable of 125 Mbps aggregate throughput; and in a 40 MHz channel, it is capable of greater than 250 Mbps. Due to limitations of the packet processing on the 450 SM, the maximum capacity of these devices was lower. With the high gain antenna, this is the most capable SM to date.
